Equipment and Working Environment
A zoologist use many different types of equipment. Binoculars to observe animals from a long distance. Magnifying Glass to observe smaller animals like insects. Recording equipment are used to record animal behavior on land and in water. GPS to locate a group of animals' whereabouts. Computers to record data and create and maintain database. Laboratory equipment like scalpels, scissors, tweezers and microscopes are used to collect samples. Working conditions is mainly outside but sometimes they can work inside labs or other zoos. Working out in the wildlife zoologist have to go through rainy, stormy, dusty, cloudy and any other kinda of weather. Sometime the have to stay in a tent for weeks and could catch diseases. On a weekly basis a zoologist will work 39.7 hours on average. Sometimes when zoologist are on field it can be weeks and days they work.

Courses in Zoology
To be a zoologist you need a bachelor degree or extensive relevant experience. Some jobs in area also require post-graduate study, such as a Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Master Degree. Universities that offer courses for zoology are University of Melbourne, La Trobe and Deakin university. The ATAR is need to get into a zoology course it varies from 60 to 70.
